A proper Level 2 install is faster, safer, and cheaper to run than the cable in your trunk. Gareffa handles the load calc, permit, dedicated 240V circuit, hardwire or NEMA 14-50, the inspection, and the JCP&L or PSE&G rebate paperwork.
We charge the service rate at booking to lock your slot. Cancel up to 2 hours before with no charge. On larger jobs over $1,500, your same-day service fee is credited toward the total.
You bought the EV. Now you need to charge it at home. A proper Level 2 install is faster, safer, and cheaper to operate than the trickle-charger that came in the trunk — and a licensed install is what your home insurance and the utility rebate program both require.
Gareffa Electric is a licensed NJ electrical contractor installing EV chargers across Bergen, Hudson, Essex, and Passaic counties. We do the load calc, the permit, the dedicated 240V circuit, the inspection, and the rebate paperwork — so you go from "I just took delivery" to "plugged in at home" without you chasing anything down.
A typical Level 2 install — 200A panel with capacity, charger location within 25 feet of the panel, no mast or service work needed — runs $1,200–$2,200 all-in. Longer runs, exterior work, panel upgrades, or sub-panels push it higher. Garage finishes (drywall patches, paint matching) we coordinate with you separately.
If your panel doesn't have capacity, we'll tell you on the walk-through. Sometimes a load-management device (DCC-9, NeoCharge) avoids a full panel upgrade. Sometimes a panel upgrade is the right move.
Our $100 Estimate Visit covers the walk-through, load calc, and written quote. The $100 is credited back when you book the install.
Programs change year to year. We track current incentives and tell you what you're eligible for during the estimate.

Priority dispatch, same-day response
Pick the service that fits, share your address, leave a card on file. The whole thing takes a minute.
Your booking pings us instantly. We text you to confirm an arrival window and dispatch a licensed electrician.
The tech walks you through what's wrong. If the fix needs more than an hour, you get the full price before we touch anything.
We finish the work, test it on the spot, clean up our mess, and send you a digital receipt. You see the work pass before we leave.
We're family-run, locally based, and on the road every day across Bergen, Hudson, Essex, and Passaic counties. Not sure if you're in our area? Book online or give us a call, and we'll let you know.
Same-Day Service ($350) is priority dispatch for problems you need fixed today — broken, dead, or tripping. We get there, diagnose, and repair on the spot, with the first hour included. Scheduled Service ($150) is the same hands-on diagnostic and repair work, but for non-urgent issues you can book a day or two out. Estimate ($100) is a written walk-through for planned upgrades — service panels, EV chargers, additions, remodels. The $100 is credited back if you hire us for the project.
The trip out, the diagnostic, and a full hour of a licensed electrician's labor on-site. That's not a "show-up fee" — it's an hour of real work. Most common residential issues (dead outlets, tripping breakers, faulty switches, GFCI replacements, light fixture troubleshooting) get diagnosed and fixed within that hour. If the issue runs longer or needs parts, we give you a complete written price before we keep going.
We diagnose first, then quote the full job before doing any extra work. You see the price and approve it before we proceed — never any "oh, that'll be another $400" at the end. If the project ends up over $1,500, your $350 same-day service fee is credited toward the total.
Honestly, because the moment you book, we're already on our way. Your deposit dispatches a licensed electrician toward your house, locks in your slot, and gives our techs a confirmed schedule, so we're not double-booking or showing up to empty driveways. If you cancel more than 2 hours before your window, we refund in full. Inside 2 hours we keep the deposit since we've already held the slot for you and the truck is rolling.
